about us

Inspired by the legendary Bacchanal Wine in New Orleans, with its mix of garden/wine shop/music venue, Washington DC bar veterans Frederick Uku and Peyton Sherwood opened St. Vincent Wine as a true respite — a place where you can sip on wine and cocktails in the garden and unwind over live music.

We opened St. Vincent Wine in 2020 to create a space where folks can come, with friends or alone, and feel perfectly at home. A place where anyone & everyone is welcome and included. As a matter of fact, we want guests to forget that they’re even in Washington, DC. Grab a bottle or two from the store, head on out to the garden, and stay for an hour...or longer. You should probably stay for dinner. Upstairs, our cozy cocktail bar is an intimate and comfortable space where patrons can relax and enjoy craft cocktails while listening to live performances of local jazz musicians who keep the party flowing.

"Wine makes daily living easier, less hurried, with fewer tensions and more tolerance."

- Benjamin Franklin
