This female-owned winery that sits on more than 300 acres at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains is trying to change the way we think about wine from the Old Dominion State.
Tropical fruit, apricot, white peach, citrus. Fermented in a combination of concrete, large Acacia, oak puncheon, and foudre. 15 months of lees ageing and a short period of skin contact. Rich and dense, very acidic, stony, saline core. A real banger. Virginia in the building!
