750mL | 12.0% | 42% Sauvignon Blanc, 37% Gruner Veltliner, 21% Chardonnay
Full bodied, pronounced tannin, subtle acidity. Earthy, spicy lining. Yellow tropical fruit, candied orange zest, white apples, wet stone, touch of cocoa powder. Mineral and nutty finish.
Vines are planted in rich clay soils. The pressed juice sees skin contact for 20 days where it is allowed to begin spontaneous fermentation. The wine is matured for 8 months in barrique.
Gerhard Pittnauer is considered one of the most talented winemakers in Austria. He works with his wife Brigitte to create what they call "living wines".
